Hoylake Lifeboat was called out at midnight last night to a vessel having engine difficulties on the River Mersey.
The 15m motor vessel “Venom” was making slow progress on the Mersey during strong winds.
Coastguard crews were worried that it may prevent incoming shipping and so RNLI teams were tasked to intervene.
