Torrential rain caused some flash flooding across Wirral this morning as the heavens opened over the region.
Parts of Wirral saw roads blocked due to the volume of water, our facebook page was received lots of pictures of readers gardens submerged in water.
Drivers found themselves with the risky task of driving through floodwater on Woodchurch road.
And other drivers found that the pumps at the Tesco petrol station in Bidston were impossible to get to as the water flooded the forecourt.

Spital Dam, Woodchurch Road and other parts of Birkenhead were also flooded, with Birkenhead Parks facebook page saying: “Due to the recent down pour the park is particularly flooded in areas.
“Please take extra care if visiting today. Wellies and waterproofs are certainly recommended if you are going to venture into the park”.
The Met Office expect that the rain give way to drier and brighter conditions by this afternoon.
The forecast reads: “Any daytime showers will soon fade to leave a mostly dry evening.
“However, cloud and outbreaks of showery rain will move southwards overnight, which should clear by dawn”.
