What will the weather be like for the start of the summer holidays on Merseyside ?

The first weekend of the summer holidays of expected to be one of the busiest for transport in the year.

Thousands of people will take to the roads to start their summer holidays and for Merseyside it’s expected to be cloudy with some bright spells and heavy rain.

The first weekend of the summer holidays will see some brightness at times but overall it’s expected to be dry and cloudy, although there is a chance of some heavy thundery downpours at times.

As we head into next week the weather is expected to continue a similar theme, with some brightness, cloud and some rain, temperatures will average around 17C.

The Met Office forecast reads: “Monday and Tuesday will be largely dry and sunny, with light winds.

“Rain is then likely on Wednesday, perhaps with some heavy outbreaks”.
