Tuesday’s warmer weather could come to a dramatic end on Wednesday as unsettled weather from the south west will arrive over the region.
The Met Office have issued the region a yellow severe weather warning for heavy thundery showers.
Why has a warning been issued ?
The weather warning has been issued as a band of heavy thundery showers are expected to creep up from the west on Wednesday.
This could lead to lightning and some localised flooding due to heavy rain.

The weather warning is in place all of Wednesday until 10pm
Will Merseyside see storms ?
Scattered thunderstorms with locally intense downpours will continue to move north across England and Wales in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Severe storms could affect Merseyside by Wednesday afternoon, although there’s a chance many areas could miss these completely.

What is a yellow weather warning ?
Yellow means that there is a low chance of seeing the severe weather, but if you do it could be severe.
You should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day to day activities.
The Met Office monitors the developing weather situation and Yellow means keep an eye on the latest forecast and be aware that the weather may change or worsen, leading to disruption of your plans in the next few days.

Although the thunderstorms may tend to ease from the south later in the night, further, possibly severe storms may break out again on Wednesday afternoon.

Although many places will miss the thunderstorms, there is a chance of some localised flooding of homes, businesses and roads.
Frequent lightning may be an additional hazard with potential for disruption to power networks.
Large hail may be an additional hazard on Wednesday afternoon.
