This is when Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth will be leaving Liverpool to a mid-river firework display

Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth cruise liner has made a stop in Liverpool today and it’s expected to leave tonight to a spectacular firework display.

A mid-river firework display is expected to to wave off the ship around 9:45pm.

Hundreds of people expected to turn out for the event before the ship heads off for St Peter Port in Guernsey.

Queen Elizabeth is the second largest ship constructed for Cunard, exceeded only by Queen Mary 2, and is capable of carrying up to 2,092 passengers.

The ship visited Liverpool in May 2015 along with Queen Mary 2 & Queen Victoria ships to celebrate Cunard’s 175th anniversary.
