After some warm weather during mid week were temperatures climbed to 25C, the weather is set to cool down in time for the weekend.
Merseyside saw plenty of warm sunshine during Wednesday and Thursday despite Met Office weather warnings for heavy thundery showers.
The region was warned of storms during Thursday but these managed to miss and Merseyside clung onto the warm weather.

However, the weather is set to cool down over the weekend as wetter and cloudier weather is expected.
Saturday morning will see showers with some sunshine and Sunday will see more brighter spells with some cloud again, temperatures will be around 18C all weekend.

The Met Office say: “Rain will clear south-eastwards on Saturday.
“Sunshine and showers are then likely on Sunday and Monday, perhaps heavy with a risk of thunder. It will also feel a little cooler”.
