How long will the rain last on Merseyside?

It’s been a wet week so far on Merseyside, which is welcome news for gardeners across the region.

The wet weather is thanks to areas of low pressure making their way in from the west.

This is a huge change from the warmer theme that we saw last week, which was due warmer air from a more southerly direction.

How long will the rain last ?

The wet weather is set to ease off slightly over the next few days but there’s still a chance of showers at times.

Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday saw rain throughout most the day on Merseyside and although there’s a risk of showers on Friday and through the weekend, they’re not expected to be that persistent.

Forecasters are suggesting that the weather will dry up as we head further into the weekend and that by Sunday we should see the sunshine return.

The Met Office say: “Dry and bright on Saturday, though turning wet in the north later.

“Mostly dry and breezy Sunday, with sunny spells.

“A bright start on Monday, but rain possible later on”.
