June to start off cool and showery on Merseyside and there’s a risk of storms

After a warm end to May temperatures are expected to cool and wet on Merseyside as we head into June.

The first week of June will see temperatures fall down to a cooler 15C, with the risk of heavy rain on Friday.

By the weekend things are expected to remain cool and showery with a risk of thunderstorms.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid teens throughout next week too, with more rain predicted by the Met Office.

The Met Office say: “Rain spreading south-eastwards across the region through Friday, turning heavy at times.

“Sunshine and scattered showers following on Saturday, becoming more widespread by Sunday”.
