Dry week on the way as warm temperatures will return to Merseyside

Merseyside saw heavy rain during the last week, but the rain is due to give way to drier and warmer weather.

This is thanks to high pressure and warmer air from southern Europe arriving over the UK.

The arrival of high pressure will block any weather fronts heading from the west, meaning a much drier week.

During the week temperatures will creep back into the 20’s, by Friday temps could reach 24C across parts of the region.

The met Office says: “Remaining largely dry with prolonged spells of sunshine and light winds making it feel warm.

“Cloud thickening at times on Tuesday and Wednesday”
