A spectacular treat was spotted in the skies over Merseyside and the UK last night, as Jupiter and its moons appeared very bright and close to the earths moon.
Clear skies allowed us to view the giant gas planet and the moon all in the same patch of sky, which peaked around 11pm.
More clear skies tonight should make perfect conditions to view the amazing sight tonight.
The Met office say: “It will stay dry this evening and overnight but it will soon turn chilly. “Under the clearest skies a frost is likely, especially in the north”.
