Arctic air on the way to Merseyside, but will it snow & how cold will it get ?


Temperatures are set to drop this week as Arctic air will flow down over the UK from the north.

Scotland has been placed on snow weather warnings as rain will turn into snow in the colder air.

Will it snow on Merseyside ?

Currently there are no warnings for Merseyside, there could be some flurries over the welsh mountains, but non are expected to filter down to lower levels.

The wintriest the weather will get will be some sleet or hail when temperatures are at there coldest during the night.

 How cold will it get ?

As the colder weather grips the country nighttime temperatures will dip as low 3C in the early hours of Tuesday on Merseyside, which could see a return of morning frosts.

Temps will remain around 8C during the daytime, but with breezy winds through the week, temperatures will feel closer to freezing, especially during Monday when wind speeds could top 45mph.
