Temperatures are set to drop in the new week as Arctic air will flow down over the UK from the north.
Scotland has been placed on snow weather warnings as rain will turn into snow in the colder arctic air.

As the colder weather grips the country nighttime temperatures will dip as low 3C on Merseyside and will remain around 8C during the daytime.
Winds will be breezy at times through the week and so temperatures will feel closer to freezing.

The Met Office warn that the colder weather could bring hail ICE and some hill snow down to areas in the North West.
The Met Office forecast reads: “Tuesday and Wednesday will be colder, with scattered showers giving the risk of hail and hill snow.
“It will then become drier on Thursday, but a few showers are possible”.
