Storm Doris has been named and is set to batter Merseyside on Thursday.
The worst of the winds are expected on Thursday morning and into the afternoon, when the region could see gusts of up to 80mph
Heavy rain and storm force winds could cause interruptions to power supplies and widespread disruption to travel networks are likely, with a danger of injury from flying debris, the Met Office say.

Wirral, Liverpool and the rest of Merseyside is directly in the zone that is due to receive to strongest of winds, in the Amber warning area.
The Amber weather warning is in place all day until 8pm.
