Merseyside will have a taste of spring this week as temperatures set to increase, but expect rain and strong winds


The UK is set for a blast of hot air from the sub-tropics in the new week.

The milder weather will mean parts of the UK will see temperatures near 17C on Monday, which could see temperature recordings beat those in parts of Spain.

On Merseyside the temperatures will be slightly lower, as thick cloud is expected across the region, temperatures are expected to be nearer 14C.

The rest of the week temperatures will average around 8-12C, but with the milder temperatures comes rain and strong winds.

Monday will see gusty conditions at our coasts along with heavy rain will could be a feature throughout the week.

The Met Office say on  Monday “The damp, mild theme will continue with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

“There will be strong westerly winds with strong gusts in coastal areas and the Pennines seeing local gales. Maximum Temperature 14 °C.

“The rest of the week will be generally unsettled with further outbreaks of rain and strong winds or gales. Wednesday currently looks to be the driest day”.
