Blast of hot air means UK will see temperatures warmer than Spain

The UK is set for a blast of hot air from south America in the new week.

The milder weather will mean parts of the UK will see temperatures near 17C on Monday.

This could see temperature recordings beat those in parts of Spain.

On Merseyside the temperatures will be slightly lower, as thick cloud is expected across the region, temperatures are expected to be nearer 14C.

With the milder temperatures comes rain and strong winds, Monday could see gusty conditions at our coasts along with heavy rain.

The Met Office say on  Monday “The damp, mild theme will continue with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

“There will be strong westerly winds with strong gusts in coastal areas and the Pennines seeing local gales. Maximum Temperature 14 °C”.
