How long will the freezing weather last on Wirral & Liverpool ?

After a freezing few days the cold weather will continue into the weekend, but it should warm up slightly as we head into the new week.

The weather felt closer to -7C at times on Thursday with nighttime temperatures dipping below freezing.

The cold weather is down to an increase in winds from southern europe, where temperatures have been extremely cold recently.

The weekend will see a slight improvement but it will still feel cold with temperatures around 6C, there will also be a risk of heavy showers at times.

  1. Had a brilliant walk against the freezing gales on wallasey prom yesterday going home to Seacombe from a loop walk to Leasowe lighthouse, I hope the winter weather continues for the duration of winter, then we can look forward to a warm spring.
