What astronomical events can I see on Merseyside in January ?

After being treated to a stunning view of Venus over the last few nights on Merseyside here are some other amazing events you will be able to spot this month.

12th January – Venus


Venus will be at it’s brightest on 12th January as it will be 47 degrees from the sun making it the best time to view it.

19th January – Mercury


On 19th January Mercury will be easily visible as it will be 24 degrees from the sun.

Mercury will be in the eastern sky just before sunrise.

International Space Station


The ISS will be visible throughout January. Just look for a bright fast travelling object.
