The time it takes the Earth to complete a full rotation has increased over the last 100 years.
Over the last Century earths rotation has increased only by 1.8 milli seconds.
It would take the earth around 6.7 million years for the Earth to slow down its rotation to add just an extra minute onto a full day.
Scientists revealed that for an Earth day to be extended by an extra hour it would take 200 million years due to the moons gravitational friction on the earth.
