Over 120 meteors an hour could be spotted as the Geminids Meteor shower peaks on December 12th.
Astronomers say the best time to see the meteor shower is between December 12th – December 15th after 2am away from light pollution.
The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy on Merseyside so there could be a slim chance of witnessing it when it peaks on Monday night.

The Met Office forecast says: “Monday will start breezy and dry, but grey skies, mist and drizzle will show up later, persisting into Tuesday, though with lighter winds.
“Wind and rain will return on Wednesday”.
The Geminid meteor shower is one of the finest meteors showers visible, the meteors are that often and bright they are said to rival the August Perseids.
