The Met Office has issued Merseyside severe weather warnings for ICE all day Friday until 10am on Saturday.
Temperatures are expected to fall in some areas tonight which could lead to overnight freezing resulting in some icy patches by morning.

The Mrt Office say: “A cold northwesterly airstream will continue to bring heavy showers or rain, sleet, snow and hail through Friday.
“Clear spells in between will allow temperatures to fall close to or below freezing – hence the likelihood of some ice”.
Wirral gritters have been out today gritting some of the major routes after this mornings heavy hail storm.
Thunder, lightning and heavy hail battered the region this morning, which led to cancelled bus services and caused terrible driving conditions.

The Met Office forecast for overnight reads: “Showers will continue through the evening and overnight, but will become less widespread by dawn.
“Another cold night, with widespread frost, and ice where surfaces are wet. Minimum Temperature -1 °C”.
