The Met Office warn that although most of the snow will fall across hilly areas, some could filter down to lower levels.

Merseyside has just about been included in the newly issued warnings, so for areas such as Wirral and Liverpool there’s more of a chance of rain and sleet rather than snow.
A forecaster at the Met Office said: “A band of rain spreading slowly in will turn to snow as it encounters cold air.
“Overnight into Wednesday morning, there are concerns that heavier bursts could bring snow more widely down to low levels over parts of the Midlands and northern England, though at this stage there is still low confidence”.
The warnings are in place overnight until 10am on Wednesday and temperatures will average around 10C.
