The Environment Agency has once again issued flood alerts for parts of Merseyside as the region was battered by strong winds today.
The warnings are in place overnight as high tide and strong winds could cause over topping waves.

Areas which will be most at risk will be Liverpool, New Ferry, Woodside, Ellesmere Port, Widnes and Hale Village.
The flood alerts come as come after the region was battered by 50mph winds today, which created stormy scenes at our coasts.
