Merseyside and the rest of the UK will see what is called a black moon on Friday.
A black moon is the second new moon in a single month, a new moon is when the dark side of the moon is facing the Earth and appears to be fully in shadow.
The illuminated side of the moon is pointing away from us and so the moon is not visible.
This months black moon is said to be special as the solar eclipse that was seen in Africa this month had a ring of fire around the edge.
This is supposedly linked to biblical apocalyptic prophecies and has alarmed conspiracy theorists.
