Rain will become persistent and locally heavy during Saturday night, clearing eastwards early on Sunday morning.

A forecaster at the met office has said: “A frontal zone will become slow moving across more northern parts of England and Wales during Saturday night, with areas of persistent and at times heavy rain developing.
“Rainfall totals will be very variable, but some places could have as much as 30-40 mm of rain during this period”.
