Warm air from southern Europe will allow a brief spell of warmer weather to filter over the UK this week.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there will be plenty of dry sunny spells and temperatures could creep up to near 25C.

However, its expected that by the middle of the week the short spell of hot weather is expected to break-down as rain spreads from the west, potentially with thunderstorms for a time.
By the weekend, a return to somewhat cooler, changeable weather is anticipated, with the weather generally driest and warmest in the south.

The Met Office forecast reads: “Plenty of sunshine on Tuesday and still feeling warm, though turning a little cloudier on Wednesday. A risk of thundery showers by Thursday”.
“Into the weekend and through the rest of the period, details remain uncertain however a more changeable spell of weather is likely to prevail with cloudy conditions and outbreaks of rain interspersed with drier periods and sunny spells”.
