One of the years biggest and most stunning meteor showers will be visible throughout this month.
The meteor shower will peak between Thursday 11th and Saturday 13th August when around 200 meteors every hour could be spotted.
Astronomers say that after 1am on Friday 12th August should provide the best chances of seeing lots of bright meteors lighting up the night sky.

Most meteors in a meteor shower are smaller than a grain of sand, so almost all of them disintegrate and never hit the Earth’s surface.
