Merseyside saw temperatures reach 31.8C yesterday, which is the regions hottest day of the year.
The 31C temps put Miami and Athens in the shade, but will we see more of the hot weather again ?.
Wednesday morning started out very wet and thundery after the Met Office had warned of thundery downpours.
The rest of Wednesday will be warm, dry and bright with a top temperature of 22C.

But as the rest of the week progresses there will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers, temperatures wont be anywhere near the 31C mark, but it’ll still feel warm in the 20C sunshine.
Forecasts for the rest of the July point to a generally changeable picture with a mixture of cloudier conditions with outbreaks of rain interspersed with brighter, showery weather.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler and nearer average, although it may turn warm and humid at times further south.
