This week air from southern Europe will send temperatures soaring, but what temperatures can we expect on Merseyside ?
Monday is expected to be mostly clear and sunny with highs of 25C, but the hottest of the weather is expected on Tuesday.
Tuesday could see the hottest day of the year with temperatures of over 30C across the region, it will be a hot day with plenty of sunny spells.

After Tuesday temperatures will decrease slightly, however, it will still feel warm and muggy as the rest of the weeks temperatures will average around 20C.
With the hot weather comes a risk of Thunderstorms, the Met Office have issued a severe weather warning for Wednesday as heavy thundery downpours could impact the area.

A Met Office spokesman said the outlook for Wednesday to Friday includes heavy, thundery downpours.
He added: “Sunny spells Thursday, sunshine and showers on Friday. Staying warm but with maximum temperatures of 20 degrees.”
