Yesterday Merseyside was hit by thunderstorms which caused widespread flooding across the area.
Around 36mm of rain fell in a very short space of time which resulted in roads and streets being turned into rivers.

Merseyside fire and rescue were called out to house on Wirral after it was struck by lightning during the storm.
The wet weather is set to continue over the weekend as more weather warnings have been issued for the region.
The warnings are in force from 11am -8pm Saturday.

The Met Office warning reads: Scattered, heavy downpours will develop today, turning thundery in places.
Whilst many places will miss the worst, please be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding.
