The Met Office have issued Wirral & Liverpool a severe weather warning for heavy thundery rain.
Merseyside is the only area in the country to be on a severe weather warning, which is in place from 6:50pm to 9:30pm Saturday night.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to form across Merseyside and will drift west over the next few hours before fading.

The Met Office say: “A warm, humid airstream has produced a cluster of thunderstorms which are moving slowly westwards across urban areas this evening.
“15 to 20 mm of rain could fall in an hour locally”.
