It’s looking like a mostly cloudy first week of summer, although it will feel warm and there will be some bright spells at times on Merseyside.
The best day of the week looks like it will be Thursday as temps are expected to reach near the 20C mark in any afternoon sunshine.
After that the weather is set to get increasingly cloudy as the week goes on, there’s also a chance of thundery showers at the weekend.
It’s a similar set up again on Thursday, but perhaps with less rain around for England and Wales. Stav D pic.twitter.com/UjavvLmub0

The Met Office say: “Sunshine and isolated showers on Friday, mainly in the east.
“Further showers developing during Saturday and Sunday, these turning heavy and thundery in the far south”.
However, next week could see even warmer temperatures, we could even see the mercury creep up nearer the 30C mark.

Fed up with the grey cloud in the SE this week? Things are looking up for next, or should I say warming up. Lou L pic.twitter.com/2WY6HrSA4k
