How much is a bottle of water on board the International Space Station ?

The ISS travels around the earth at a speed of nearly 20,000mph, so getting life essential supplies to its crew can be very costly.

Much of the cost comes from the fact that food and water supplies have to be launched up via a rocket to the ISS.

It costs several million dollars for one of these rockets to launch up to the ISS crew.

That means a bottle of water that would usually cost 99p, actually costs around £7,000 on board the ISS.. if there was a local corner shop in space.
