After a warm sunny period of weather, it’s expected to turn wetter and windier on Merseyside this week.
The week will start mostly cloudy with the chance of some brighter spells at times during Monday & Tuesday.
But was the week progresses weather fronts will cross the region through Wednesday, bringing heavy rain with the chance of thunder right through until the weekend.

The Met Office forecast said: “Generally unsettled conditions at first with bands of rain moving across the country, interspersed by brief drier and brighter spells, but still with some showers.
“The heaviest and most persistent rain is likely to be in the south and west, accompanied by strong winds and perhaps coastal gales at times”.
