Merseyside basked in temperatures of 25.2C today, which turned out to be hotter than Majorca, Madrid and Ibiza.
Sunday was officially the hottest day of the year, lots of people headed to parks and beaches, some people even sent us their BBQ pictures as they relaxed in the sun.

The question is, will it last ?, well, looking at current forecasts Monday could be even hotter than today, with temperatures expected to again easily reach above 25C.
But after Monday temperatures are expected so settle down again as we head towards the weekend, when temperatures will be 10 – 14C COLDER than it has been this weekend.

A forecaster at the Met Office said: “It’ll be a rather cool end to the coming week with much of the UK remaining dry with bright or sunny spells.
“There may be some showery rain, mainly across central parts, but this generally light”.
