The mix of warmer and unsettled weather that is going to be a feature on Saturday means there is a thunderstorm risk.
Forecasters say that central England, Wales and north-west England that have the greatest threat of severe thunderstorms developing, due to a possible build up of high energy through the weekend.
This will allow the atmosphere to ultimately release the available energy, resulting in localised thunderstorms developing.
Thunderstorms are quite hard to predict so don’t be surprised if you don’t experience one, however, there is still a risk.
The Met Office say: “There will be dry and warm with sunny spells on Friday. Remaining warm with some sunshine over the weekend, but risk of thundery showers breaking out”.
