Miserable weather to make way for hotter summer temperatures on Merseyside

After a washout Bank Holiday the weather is set to improve and temperatures will recover in the new week to nearly 20C on Merseyside.

The current position of the Jet Stream which is driving the cold wet weather, is set to shift and allow warmer air from southern Europe to creep up over the UK next week.

The weather from Wednesday will warm up and by next weekend Merseyside could even see temperatures of around 18C – 20C.

The Met Office say: “Tuesday will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers, heavy at times, with hail and thunder possible.

“Wednesday and Thursday will be drier, brighter and feeling warmer for most”.
