Temperatures overnight on Thursday are expected to drop to around 4C and the Met Office say snow could fall the warning areas.
However, most of the snow is expected to fall further inland and over higher ground, but some flurries could filter down to lower levels on Merseyside.

The Met Office said: “A depression moving eastwards across northern parts of Northern England on Thursday evening will bring cold air in its wake, causing showery outbreaks of rain to turn to snow, principally on hills but also to low levels at times.
“Accumulations of 5-10 cm are likely above 200-300 m with locally 2-4 cm to around 100 m”.
The rest of my the week is expected to feature some sunny spells and rain at times, temperatures will be around 11C.
