An investigation is underway after a widespread power cut hit 100’s of homes across this morning, caused by a high voltage power cable failure.
A spokesman for SP Energy Networks who supply Wirral’s power said: “We were notified of a problem just before 7am and it was fixed by 8.30am.
“The network has been re-set and we do not expect the supply to go off again. The fault is still being investigated.”
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that was caused.”
