Water quality concerns shuts West Kirby Marine Lake

Wirral Council has temporarily shut West Kirby marine lake over concerns about it’s water quality.

While health services investigate, all activities on the lake have been suspended and people have been asked not to use the lake until further notice.

“Wirral Council said on it’s Facebook page: “The Marine Lake at West Kirby has had to be closed temporarily after concerns were raised over water quality”.

“Officers from the council’s Environmental Health and Health and Safety teams are currently investigating. In the meantime, people are asked not to use the lake until further notice”.

“All scheduled activities on the lake are suspended”.
