On Merseyside it was unofficially our hottest day of the year as we recorded temperatures of over 15C.
The warm temperatures will gradually give way to much cooler weather over the next few days as Arctic air will sweep the UK.
Winds from the north will mean temperatures on Merseyside will fall to around 8C, brining the risk of rain and chillier temperatures.
