UK’s warmest November day since 1946


Wales has given the UK its ‘warmest November day on record’, after temperatures in Trawsgoed, Ceredigion, hit 22.3C this afternoon.

At 1pm the temperature had already soared to 21.8C and then around an hour later the record breaking 22.3C was recorded.

Both recordings beat the previous November record, also set in Wales, where the mercury reached 21.7C at Prestatyn in 1946.

Forecasters say it is very mild for this time of the year.

The record temperatures in Wales is 9 degrees warmer than todays temperatures on Wirral, temperatures have only managed to climb to around 13C across the area today, which is around average for November.
