Unsettled week of weather ahead for Wirral & Liverpool

Rain arriving by Wednesday

Next week will start very similar to what we have seen over the last few days, cloudy but cool weather with winds remaining light.

However, the Jet Stream will change position early next week and instead of winds coming from Russia, which has brought the relatively calm weather, winds will change to a westerly direction.

This means that weather fronts will track across the Atlantic towards the UK bringing stronger winds through the start of the week and rain by Wednesday.

Thursday & Friday are looking to give us a break from the wind and rain with conditions back to the cloudy and calmer theme, before more rain and weather fronts arriving by next weekend. Temperatures are expected to remain into the low teens.

MeteoGroup Forecaster George Goodfellow said: “Low pressure systems look like moving in from the Atlantic to affect the country, with northern parts most likely to be wet and windy.”
