High pressure over the UK has allowed lovely weather this week on Wirral, with temperatures into the high teens.
According to the met office it looks like the sunny weather is here to stay until at least the weekend.
Temperatures will remain into the high teens throughout the week, while 17C or over could easily be recorded when the sun is out.
Laura Young, from the Met Office, said: “The high pressure is sticking around for at least a week which brings calmer conditions but not necessarily just sunshine.”
She added: “Wednesday will see more sunshine with the cloud breaking up throughout the day.
“Thursday will be brighter again with lots of sunshine forecast at the moment, although that could change.
“Friday is looking pretty sunny too.”
Temperatures will fall by the weekend as the high pressure that brought the warm weather edges away from the UK.
Saturday is looking like a rather chilly day on Wirral as temps will have dropped to a daytime temperature of 13C.
Forecasters are expecting the high pressure to have completely moved away from the UK by next week, allowing rain and weather fronts to bring a wet cooler end to the sunny weather.
