Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he finds it “hard” to deal with the cold weather in the winter months on Merseyside.

The Brazilian is more used to average temperatures of between 5C and 8C from November to March in his home country, but he has admitted that colder weather on Merseyside is hard to deal with.

Coutinho told Football Focus: ”It’s hard. I’m still not totally used to it, and every time it’s cold I find it really tough,”

“But it’s getting better, and I’m making do as best I can.”

Coutinho also admitted that he eats Brazilian cuisine rather than local delicacies.

Coutinho won’t be happy to hear that temperatures over the next week or so on Merseyside are going to drop slightly, with nights and early mornings feeling chillier.
