73 year old man rescued after being trapped for 30 minutes in New Brighton mud

Wirral coastguard team were called out after a 73 year old man got stuck in the mud by the Black Pearl, New Brighton on Wednesday morning.

The coastguard team deployed two mud rescue technicians who successfully extricated the casualty around 8am.

An ambulance was requested as a precautionary measure to check the condition of the casualty as he had been stuck for approximately 30 minutes.

Marine fire one also attended the call out.

The man was unharmed.
