2015 is on track to be earth’s hottest year ever

Only last month we wrote an article about 2014 being the hottest year ever, but now scientists say that’s likely to be beaten by 2015’s temperature records.

According to researchers at Nasa and the Japan Metrological Agency, earth is on track to have it’s hottest year ever.

The global warmth of June 2015 matched or sometimes beat any previous June in historical records.

And the fact that each month proceeding June has ranked in the top 4 hottest years ever, scientists say that 2015 is likely to be the hottest earth year yet.

The strong El Nino event, which is transferring large amounts of heat from the tropical Pacific all around the world is said to be a major factor in why 2015 could break temperature records on earth.

With potentially two hottest years ever in a row, is this a sign that climate change is well underway ?. Let us know what you think in the comments section!
