Met Office forecaster Helen Roberts said: “Towards the latter part of next week we are expecting a Continental feed which will bring warm air into the country.

She added: “It does look like things will warm up and we have high confidence of above average temperatures”.

Although the warm temperatures, the dry spell may not last all week, as there’s a chance of wetter thundery weather next weekend.

Jim Dale, a senior meteorologist at British Weather Solutions told Wirral Weather: “the warm dry spell kicks in for Wirral later next week on Thursday/Friday, but don’t hold your breath.

“It’s currently likely to be short-lived with thundery breakdown into the weekend”.
