Merseyside braced for two days of strong winds

Walking by the coast could prove to be quite dangerous during tomorrow

Merseyside is expected to be battered by strong gusts of over 45mph over the next two days.

After heavy rain battered the region during the early hours of Tuesday morning, the same area of low pressure that brought the rain will whisk up winds across the region today and tomorrow.

More heavy rain on the way Wednesday

No weather warnings have been issued for the area by the Met Office, (we won’t be surprised if this changes), but winds will still be strong through Tueday and are expected to strengthen further through Wednesday afternoon, when gusts of over 45mph could be expected.

Wednesday will also be a wet day with more heavy rain falling across the region, there also may be a chance of some thunder and lightning. Wednesday’s maximum temperature will be 11C.
