Bank Holiday Weekend Weather Forecast for Wirral & Merseyside


An area of low pressure will head across the atlantic on Friday, pushing warmer air towards the UK’s colder air.

This will bring quite a significant amount of rain with the potential of some rumbles of thunder over the weekend.


Saturday will be dry and cloudy for most of the day with a freshening southeasterly breeze.

Rain is expected by to arrive from the late afternoon, lasting through the night, it will be heavy and potentially thundery at times.

Wind will also pick up over night with peak gusts of 36mph expected, Saturdays maximum temperature will be 12C.

Rain will continue overnight and into Sunday morning,  heavy at times, clearing to sunshine and scattered showers by afternoon, potentially thundery again. Another breezy day with a maximum temperature of 14C

Brighter and drier start to Monday until more rain is expected in the evening, becoming heavy over night.
