The unsettled cooler theme will continue into the MayDay Bank Holiday weekend, with cloudy, wet and windy conditions being a big feature.
Another area of low pressure will head across the atlantic on Friday, pushing warmer air towards the UK’s colder air.
This will bring quite a significant amount of rain with some rumbles of thunder over the weekend.
On Saturday we will see spells of sunshine at first, but cloud will gradually increase as the day progresses, winds will pick up and there will be rain towards evening. Saturday’s maximum temperature will be 10C
Sunday will be a mixture of wet and sunny conditions, with rain showers heavy at times and gusts of up to 40mph, there’s also a possibility of thunderstorms in the late morning early afternoon. Sunday’s maximum temperature will be 12C
Bank Holiday Monday is looking to be a brighter day with a mixture sunny spells and showers. Showers could be hit or miss. Monday’s high will be 12C.
